We are delighted to announce the news that Miles Geldard has been appointed to be CHASE Africa’s new Chair of Trustees.

Miles has had a very successful career in the financial world, holding many senior positions including at Jupiter Asset Management and JP Morgan. He is presently a Non-Executive Director of the Brunel Pension Partnership, a Senior Advisor to Conservation Capital, and an independent member of the investment committee for the Royal Institute of Blind People.

He worked for the central bank of Botswana, assisting them in managing their foreign exchange reserves and training the investment team. Miles has also spent time in Africa working for humanitarian and conservation charities. He is a former Trustee of Save the Elephants and has spent time as a human-rights monitor in the Middle East. His experience in both the financial and charitable worlds will be invaluable in helping to increase the impact of CHASE Africa’s work across an increasing number of countries.

Toby Aykroyd has stepped down as Chair of Trustees. We are extremely grateful for the time and dedication he has given to CHASE Africa over the past 12 years. Toby has been instrumental in seeing CHASE Africa grow from a small charity working from a kitchen table into a well-recognized NGO working across East Africa.
