CHASE Africa appoints new Chair of Trustees
We are delighted to announce that Claire Maxey has been appointed Chair of Trustees of CHASE Africa.
Claire has been a trustee since 2022 and previously served as Deputy Chair. She is a longstanding supporter of CHASE Africa and has championed women and girls’ education, particularly in relation to sexual and reproductive health and rights, for almost 20 years, alongside a career in strategy consulting at PwC.
Claire co-founded the Mark Anthony Trust in 2008, which has awarded over £1.5m in grants in this area. Her strategic leadership, combined with deep sector knowledge, will be invaluable as CHASE Africa continues to grow its impact in the years ahead.
Claire succeeds Miles Geldard, who has stepped down due to a family medical emergency. We are deeply grateful for the leadership Miles has provided over the past two years. His guidance has helped strengthen CHASE Africa’s governance and professionalise the organisation, and his contribution is greatly valued by the Board and the CHASE Africa team.
