We are pleased to share CHASE Africa’s 2025 Impact Report, marking both a year of strong progress and an important milestone as we celebrate 25 years of our work.
In 2025, our partners continued to deliver vital healthcare and information to underserved communities across East Africa, often in challenging and rapidly changing contexts. Through our work we reached hundreds of thousands of people with essential services and support.
In 2025 we achieved:
- 580,492 attendances at health information and awareness sessions
- 252,384 of these attendances were by under-19s
- 112,784 family planning and other Sexual and Reproductive Health services provided
- 102,044 basic healthcare services delivered
These figures reflect both the scale of our work and the continued need for accessible, community-based healthcare. Beyond the numbers, the report highlights the depth of change within communities. Through case studies and programme insights, it shows how improved access to healthcare, trusted information and local support can transform lives – particularly for women and girls.
You will meet women like Cheminisia (in the photo), whose children received life-saving vaccinations for the first time, and Jane, who gained access to safe family planning after a life-threatening experience. Their stories demonstrate the importance of bringing healthcare closer to communities and ensuring people have the knowledge to make informed choices.
The past year also saw important organisational developments. Our presence in Kenya, through our Regional Sexual and Reproductive Health Manager, has strengthened our local programmes. We expanded our work in Kenya and Tanzania and continued to invest in building stronger, more resilient local health systems.
As we mark 25 years of CHASE Africa, the report also reflects on how our work has evolved – from our beginnings to our integrated approach today, linking health, communities and the environment.
