On 25th September 2025, CHASE Africa marked a major milestone: 25 years of improving access to healthcare, advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights, and promoting environmental resilience across East Africa.
The celebration was kindly hosted by Sarasin & Partners LLP in London and brought together 70 guests, including long-standing supporters, funders, representatives of partner NGOs, peer organisations, staff, trustees, advisory board members and ambassadors.
It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements of CHASE Africa and acknowledge the work of our visionary founder Robin Witt. His dedication and commitment over the past 25 years have been extraordinary.

The speeches reflected the charity’s journey and future vision. Founder Robin Witt spoke about CHASE Africa’s evolution from the Rift Valley Tree Trust to its current focus on women’s health across East Africa. Francis Kadiri, Regional SRHR Manager, and Wendo Aszed, Founder and Director of our local partner Dandelion Africa, shared powerful insights into ongoing programmes. Finally, CEO Harriet Gordon-Brown looked ahead to the next chapter, sharing ambitions for CHASE Africa’s growth and impact.
A highlight of the evening was the debut of CHASE Africa’s 25th anniversary film, charting the organisation’s journey and achievements. Guests described the event as inspiring, warm, and filled with a strong sense of community between CHASE Africa and its local partners.

Alongside the formal programme, guests enjoyed time to connect with the wider CHASE Africa community over drinks generously donated by Edmunds Cocktails, with additional sponsorship from a long-standing supporter to cover hosting costs.
We extend heartfelt thanks to all who joined us on the evening and to the many supporters who have made the past 25 years possible. For those who couldn’t attend, you can watch our anniversary film on YouTube and continue supporting our mission as we look forward to the next 25 years of creating lasting change in rural communities across East Africa.
