Kalyet Afya Foundation (KAF) is a local non-profit organisation based in Molo sub-county.

KAF runs the Sachangwan Highway Medical Clinic and collaborates closely with other stakeholders to offer an integrated health and environment programme. Their work addresses the holistic needs of communities, and reaches the most vulnerable populations.

They are committed to expanding access to quality Sexual and Reproductive Health services. KAF offers a range of healthcare and family planning services to rural communities and people living in slum areas who cannot afford the cost of healthcare or the cost of transport to healthcare facilities.

They offer each woman the chance to make an informed choice about whether she wishes to use contraception and the method best suited to her needs.

In July 2019 CHASE Africa started supporting KAF to run mobile clinics, taking healthcare and family planning to communities that struggled with access.

Since then, the community health project at KAF has grown from strength to strength coordinating mobile clinics in Molo and Kuresoi North sub-counties.

Over the last couple of years, KAF has expanded its services to address the needs of the young people and adolescents. They have established an adolescent and youth-focused programme that works both in school (supporting health clubs) and out of school, through Youth Peer Mentors.
